Uses of Cyclobenzaprine:

Cyclobenzaprine or Flexeril is utilized short-term to treat muscle spasms. It is usually used together with rest and physical therapy. It works by helping to relax the muscles.

The best way to utilize Cyclobenzaprine HCL

Take this medication by mouth with or without meals as instructed by your physician. Do not increase your dose or use this medication more often or for longer than prescribed.

Your condition won’t improve any faster, and your risk of side effects will increase.

The dose is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. This medication should only be used short term (for 3 weeks or not ) unless instructed by your doctor.

Tell your doctor if your condition persists after 2 to 3 months or if it worsens.

Side Effects of Cyclobenzaprine:

Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, or tiredness may occur.

If any of these effects persist or worsen, then tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Inform your doctor right away in the event that you have any serious side effects, including fast/irregular heartbeat, mental/mood changes (such as confusion, hallucinations), trouble urinating.

Precautions of Cyclobenzaprine:

Prior to taking cyclobenzaprine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you’re allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies.

This item may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk with your pharmacist for additional information.

This medication may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive, use machines, or do anything which requires alertness until you are able to do it securely. Avoid alcoholic beverages.

Speak to your doctor if you’re using marijuana (cannabis).

Before having surgery, tell your health care provider or dentist about all of the products that you use (such as prescription medications, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).

Older adults may be more sensitive to the side effects of the drug, especially drowsiness, confusion, constipation, or trouble urinating. Drowsiness and confusion may boost the risk of falling.

During pregnancy, this medicine should be used only when clearly needed.

It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. However, similar medications pass into breast milk. Consult your physician prior to breast-feeding.

Interactions of Cyclobenzaprine:

Medication interactions may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. This record doesn’t contain all possible drug interactions.

Most MAO inhibitors should likewise not be taken for 2 weeks before treatment with this medicine. Consult your doctor when to start or stop taking this medicine.

Symptoms of overdose may include fast/irregular heartbeat, fainting, severe nausea, slurred speech, seizures, mental/mood changes (such as confusion, hallucinations).

Do not share this medicine with others.

This medication was prescribed for your current condition only. Do not use it later for another condition unless your doctor directs you to do so. A different medication may be necessary for that situation.

Missed Dose of Cyclobenzaprine:

If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Take your next dose at the regular time. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Storage of Cyclobenzaprine/Flexeril:

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Don’t store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.

Do not flush drugs down the toilet or put them in a drain unless instructed to do so.

Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Ask your pharmacist or local waste disposal company.
